Microsoft simply can't keep up with human users in spite of modern technology and communication. Be prepared for long breaks and a reduction in productivity of about 40%. In fact if you use Onenote at home or work (and I recommend you don't) you should always have at least two machines on line - one on which you are working, and another to demonstrate the sync state. See how long it takes to sync even small changes, and the myriad interim display of progress on the laptop. I'd comment on that but this would get pretty negative if I did, so I'll let it go for now. Start adding data to your onenote notebook on the desktop machine. Open the notebook with Onenote on your laptop. Use any network but to be fair don't use a proxy server and use a reasonable connection (40 Mb down, 20 Mb up is reasonable).
